Enevex® P16 Plastic Surface Protection “Gloss”
enevex® P16 Plastic Surface Protection “Gloss” is a high-strength surface coating for plastic surfaces, providing optimal protection for untreated, natural plastic surfaces. It is also heat-resistant up to +680°C, ensuring that the fire properties of the surface are not negatively affected. The product cannot be removed by conventional cleaning agents. enevex® P16 Plastic Surface Protection “Gloss” contains a special UV blocker to prevent fading and, with a layer thickness of 5 µm, is very flexible and therefore won’t crack or peel. Areas of application: Untreated or natural-finish plastic surfaces
Properties:
- Permanent protection
- Very high hydrophobic properties
- Car wash resistant and gloss stable
- Resistant to cleaning agents (pH 2–13)
- UV and environmentally resistant
- Easy-to-clean surface
- Excellent gloss and color depth
- Temperature resistant from -50°C to +680°C
Application:
- Clean the surface with enevex® AT10 Special Cleaner and then neutralize it with enevex® Pre-Cleaner.
- Place the application cloth over the applicator.
- Drop 12 – 18 drops of enevex® P16 Plastic Surface Protection “Gloss” onto the application cloth and quickly distribute it over the surface (a visible film must form). Work on small sections (max. 50 x 50 cm).
- Let the product air off for about 1 – 3 minutes! (This is dependent on the application amount, humidity, and ambient temperature). The longer the product can react on the surface, the higher the layer build-up, protective effect, and hydrophobic effect.
- Remove excess with the first enevex® CT23 Ceramic Towel (first the edge areas, then move from the outside to the inside in straight, brisk motions).
- Take another fresh enevex® CT23 Ceramic Towel and polish the surface (first the edge areas, then from the outside to the inside in circular motions, without applying much pressure).
- If streaks are still visible, take another fresh enevex® CT23 Ceramic Towel and repeat the process until the streaks are no longer visible (check with a light source).
- Recoating with enevex® P16 Plastic Surface Protection “Gloss” is possible after 20 minutes. Do not wait longer than 35 minutes!
- The product can also be applied using a fine spray method. You will need pure, dry, oil-free compressed air! Contaminants in the compressed air cause a pre-reaction of the product, and treated surfaces will become matte and rough.
- Caution: Do not apply directly in the sun. Protect the product from direct sunlight and frost.
Lifetime:
One layer of enevex® P16 Plastic Surface Protection “Gloss” lasts approximately 24 – 36 months. Every additional layer increases the durability by an additional 10 months. To achieve a longer protection period, you can apply the product using the fine spray method and allow it to dry. This will result in a dry layer thickness of approximately 3 – 5 µm.

Note after use: Coating products require some time to bond with the surface and fully cure after application. Surfaces treated with sealing products should always be cleaned as gently as possible to prevent damaging or removing the product’s properties. Avoid using strong cleaning agents with a high pH value or a high solvent content. For this reason, we recommend cleaning with a pH-neutral shampoo.
