Enevex® MC16 Metal Coating
enevex® MC16 Metal Coating is a transparent, high-strength surface coating designed for a wide range of metal surfaces, including bronze, copper, non-ferrous metals, precious metals, galvanized (zinc-coated) metals, stainless steel, and ferrous metals. It provides optimal protection for various applications. After complete curing, enevex® MC16 Metal Coating meets the requirements for food-contact materials as per Sections 30 and 31 of the Food and Feed Code, and can safely come into contact with food.
Applications:
- Stainless Steel
- Precious Metals
- Bronze
- Copper

- Resistant to chemicals (pH range 2-13)
- Non-flammable/non-corrosive
- Increases hardness and scratch resistance, with very high abrasion resistance
- Corrosion protection for up to 10 years and more
- Easy-to-clean surface
- Reduces fingerprints by up to 90%
- Extends cleaning intervals and reduces cleaning and maintenance costs
Application:
The surface must be clean and grease-free. After a short waiting time of approximately 1 to 2 minutes, you can remove any excess product with the enevex® CT23 Ceramic Towel. enevex® MC16 Metal Coating can be optimally applied using either fine spray or roll-on methods. After 120 minutes, the product is dust-dry. It requires approximately 6 to 8 days for complete curing (depending on temperature and humidity). Once fully cured, it offers protection against acids, alkalis, and solvents (pH range of 2-13). After application, protect the surface for at least 18 to 24 hours from dirt, moisture, and fingerprints. A separate drying process can shorten the curing time by about 2 to 3 days. During the curing process, avoid any friction on the surface. Caution: Do not apply directly in sunlight or let the product dry in direct sunlight. Protect from frost and direct sunlight.
Service Life:
Depending on substrate, surface load, and layer thickness, the service life ranges from 2 to 10 years.

Note after use: Coating products require a certain amount of time to bond with the surface and fully cure. enevex® MC16 Metal Coating is fully cured only after 6-8 days and provides full protection. Until then, the coating is still sensitive to heavy stress. Bird droppings and insect residues should be removed as quickly and gently as possible. For the first 14 days, avoid mechanical stress or heavy friction caused by car washes (both automatic and manual with brushes). Maintenance: Ensure to use only care products that do not damage the surface and have the same water-repellent properties as the coating. Avoid additional hot wax seals (e.g., in car washes).
